I offer the opportunity to meet with teachers to share my experiences in a smaller group setting. This allows teachers to ask questions and empowers them to carry the teaching in to their classrooms. My experience touring schools has informed my believe that the fear of getting it wrong is the biggest barrier to teachers incorporating learning on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives in to the classroom. By meeting with teachers and empowering them with my own knowledge and experience, there is potential to improve teaching in this area one school at a time on a nation-wide level.
